Hello and Thank You for visiting my page. My name is Anel Ruiz Ramirez {Artist at Heart}. I am a professional, experienced, and creative make-up artist. Based in Los Angeles, CA. I specialize in beauty, special events, corrective, theater, photo, special effects, airbrushing, even hair work and wig styling, eyebrow threading and teaching beauty techniques. I am always looking to meet new people. I fell in love with the idea of cosmetology as art a very long time ago and it has become an important part of my work, creativity, and style. I live my life spontaneously and for every moment. Those who know me personally know what I’m talking about!!

Hair & Cosmetics Experience:
- 2000- Completed cosmetology school; specializing in make-up application.
- 2001-2005- Independent hair dresser at a beauty shop.
- 2006- Pursued Make-Up Artist certification.
- 2007- Became Certified Professional Make-Up Artist.
- 2008- Founded and Created of Unique Cosmetics Studio.
- 2009- Development and expansion of Unique Cosmetics. Primarily building portfolio, managing house calls and working with special event clients: Weddings, Sweet 16′s, Quinceañera’s.
- 2009-2010- Make-Up styling for clients such as: RuPaul and RuPaul’s Drag U, Univision 34, Telemundo 52, 12 Corazones, Anahi (RBD), Playboy Mansion, Carla Estrada telenovela producer, Nena fashion designer, Mitzy fashion designer, Nyx Cosmetics.
- 2010- Certification for make-up instructor. in September 2010 she added hair extension’s, Hair for special occasion, and eyebrow threading services to Unique Cosmetic Studio. Make up for Miss Cumbia (Misscumbia.com), and working with JLLA.com for Harvest Boutique
- 2011- Unique Makeup School is now Open

Thank you for contacting us, unfortunately we do not have other locations as of yet, but we are located in downtown Los Angeles with easy access to the 110, 10, and 5 freeways. The classes are in the usually in the evening they are a total of 40 hours spread through out a few weeks. This gives us and you the opportunity to practice and find internship to build a portfolio.
